Paata Davitaia – the provocation is preparing on February 23 in Sochi

The leader of the "European Democrats", Paata Davitaia explains that on February 23, on the Armed Forces Day the announcements regarding the success of the Russian army will be made in the Sochi Olympics.

The Sochi Olympics is distinguished by a number of provocations against the state of Georgia. Starting with the statements and ending with the cloudy map by that Abkhazia and South Ossetia was covered. I was warning to the government of Georgia regarding the possible provocations from Russia. I still want to warn the government that it is planning the provocation against Georgia on the closing day of the Olympics. Also from my information the provocation is planed on February 23 regarding the Armed Forces Day. They are going to declare on the Sochi Olympict how successful is the Russian Army and how they establish peace in the Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, how they protected the civilians. They will try to justify the occupation, which is carried out against Georgia. After the finish of the Olympics the relationship will deteriorate with not only Georgia but with Ukraine as well. Only I am not saying this rather experts say exactly the same. We should expect all kind of surprises and provocation after the Olympics. We should be maximally ready. There is much depends on the government of Georgia. They need to conduct a strict policy. Maybe even a small concession can become the beginning of some kind of movement from Russia” – declared Davitaia.
