“Welcome everyone,

By the lord’s blessing the New Year is approached, we meet each New Year with great hopes. We see our future with hope today. First of all, we need to know ourselves as old Romanian said –“Know Thyself”. The biggest secret is inside us, because we will see our Lord, compassion and evil inside us. A human needs to do everything in order to purify his hart and mind from evil and let his hart to become the temple for the Holly Spirit. We went through the hard way, however I think that our future is bright and hopeful.

Georgia has to choose the golden mean and I would say that the entire Caucasus should choose the golden mean as well and Transcaucasia should not be arena for controversy and disagreement in contrast it should become an arena for cooperation and understanding.

I congratulate New Year to the whole Georgia with all my hart. Congratulations to Georgians, Abkhazians, Ossetians, Greeks, Russians and everyone who lives in Georgia. We look to the future with hope and that hope is based on our faith.

A human’s heart must be filled with an Orthodox faith, love and hope. Today, I congratulate with special love those who are in an infirmity and the sick in the hospital or at home. I congratulate the prisoners, the poor and wish you that your sorrow and privation change with joy.

First of all, people in order to be happy they need a God’s grace, mercy and grace from the ancestors and doing kind things themselves.

It is very important to be blessed by your parents. Parents you should bless your children and this blessing should happen every day! Child must receive blessing from his/her mother and father, and he/she must kiss on parents’ hands and during this kissing you will receive the Lord’s blessing”. – Declared his Holiness and Beatitude in his New Year’s greetings.
