“Mtavari Arkhi” channel has been on the air for four days. The public and the representatives of the political circles admit that the team of “Mtavari Arkhi” did the impossible – the television has launched broadcasting in 19 days. It is also noteworthy that the lion’s share of the credit goes to Zaza Okuashvili, founder of the Omega Group. Nika Machutadze, leader of the Movement for the People, points out that Okuashvili was an example of how one can be Georgian and European at the same time.

"A powerful weapon against the Ivanishvili regime has again been created, its kind of gallows - thought and word, knowledge and connection – that’s the most important in this case and what has been done before our eyes is a miracle. Zaza Okuashvili revived the best Georgian and European qualities - this is an example of how one should be European and Georgian, modern and traditional, rebel and creator. His struggle has set an example to all of us; it is a stubborn, righteous and honest struggle. He is a true gravedigger of the oligarch - with all the attributes. He is an anti-oligarch with even the greatest contribution to Georgia's democracy and freedom. The righteous efforts of the people always bear fruit. The key issue here is that the civil life has called for our action right here and right now. Knowing this, devoting oneself to it is invaluable and fruitful. That's why Nika Gvaramia is a very special person in our modern civil life - he didn't break down, hr didn't give up, he didn't even stop. He continued from the very point where they tried to stop him. Our democracy did not witness something like that – he set an example for freedom of speech, freedom of opinion and domestic freedom. “Mtavari Arkhi” channel is not just a television broadcast. It is a national body, a body of democracy that turned out to be immortal. It replaced a dead parliament - the modern Georgian political opinion must survive here in order to save the democracy itself. Without this perception, the scale narrows. Though, this scale is greater, amazingly greater. We can't even imagine that. People with a scope tend to be attracted by these scales. Others are lost and defeated”, - Machutadze stated.

Nugzar Tsiklauri, a member of the National Movement, believes that the step taken by Okuashvili was not an easy one.

“Many thanks to Zaza Okuashvili. It was not easy to take this step against Ivanishvili's hellish machine. He did so and at this very crucial time for Georgia, instead of personal well-being he chose to fight for our country. A few weeks ago I knew that he had taken this patriotic and very dangerous decision, but I was worried because I was well aware of the risks and dangers that accompany this step. He gave the television to Georgia and the patriots of this country will not forget this devotion at such a crucial time. One day I will write more about this man - I am glad that we are friends and we have a common goal – the victory of Georgia”, - Nugzar Tsiklauri stated.
