We would like to apply to you on behalf of working people, 1500 employees of “Omega Group”, regarding the situation developed lately.

Mr. Ivanishvili, for us, the ordinary working people, is well understandable the reason of stopping the factory, which lies in upsetting the government, as our founder Zaza Okuashvili, for the first time in Georgia, has exposed evidence of corruption, extortion and racketeering in ruling verticals and at the same time, did not fulfill your request and did not read the text passed to him during the Presidential Elections, as did the banker who was close with you and then hated.

We, simple working people, work in “Omega Group” for almost 30 years. We are proud that due to our labour “Omega Group” credited over 1.5 billion GEL to the state budget and at the same time the results of our work were not serving corruption, for example, in November and December 2018, when we restarted operation, we have transferred to the state budget 6 million GEL, and repeated stoppage in January, February and March 2019 caused the loss of 12 million GEL for the state budget.

We, on behalf of “Omega Group” employees, who still believe that based on the Georgian Constitution we can get the entitled labour right in our factory and company, which was always successful during its existence period, for 30 years, for our families, as well as for the state budget and we’ll not become the victims of government’s illegal revenge.

We know very well that contributions to the state budget and our families’ income is gained by the continuous operation of the factory, but unfortunately the government does not allow us to work in the factory despite the offer from “Omega” that they will fully cover the tax liability according to the schedule presented to the government.

For example, during the previous government, in 2004, “Omega” got the restructuring, successfully covered it during 5 years and at the same time, during the same government, transferred to the state budget over 700 million GEL.

We hope that the offered by “Omega Group” schedule to cover fully the existing liability must be acceptable for the government, which will be the best for business freedom in the country, elimination of corruption and violence in Georgia and "Omega Group" will also be the best example of the successful business, the rights of the working people and freedom.
