In May 2017, Georgian artist , Giorgi Kukhalashvili , visited the Netherlands by invitation of the Dutch art exhibition circles, where on May 6, the painter’s solo-exhibition opened in the city of Baarn, Groeneveld Castle, the 18th century royal palace which currently represents a culture centre and hosts numerous important art events.
This is a place being represented at which is a great privilege even for the Duct artists.
“There were numerous art-appreciators, collectors, art-dealers and art-curators at the exposition. I would like to note that the exhibition was organized on a very high level and the opening of the exposition was a great success. I received very interesting offers from art-curators.”
Giorgi Kukhalashvili’s one-week trip included meetings at Hieronymus Bosch Museum(Hertogenbosch) with art critic Greetje Jacobs and Van Gogh Museum ( Amsterdam) with art researcher Liza Smith, where the idea of making the painter’s solo exhibition at the gallery of the museum exhibiting modern artists was brought up.
In Belgium, in the gallery ID+Art, Giorgi Kukhalashvili met with the people interested in his Art, where the discussion about his creative work and artistic life lasted for several hours.
The Dutch periodical “ Kunst & Museumkrant ” and popular art-magazine “ Vind “ devoted lengthy articles to the art of Giorgi Kukhalashvili.
