An exhibition-sale dedicated to International Downs Syndrome Day that was organized by a Personal Rehabilitation Center “Tana” and Batumi Center of Education, Development and Employment has put on display up to 30 pictures and handicrafts created by charges of the latter center’s daycare. One of the best pictures was acquired by Zaza Okuashvili, member of Adjarian Supreme Council and Healthcare and Social Issues Commission, who gave 300 GEL to the center as charity.
The event, named “My Voice in Society” was attended by members of the Supreme Council as well as Adjara’s Healthcare and Social Protection Minister Zaal Mikeladze along with other governmental officials and legislative authority employees.
Income from the exhibition, which exceeded 1000 GEL, will be entirely spent on needs of both centers’ charges.
Nana Sakvarelidze and Maia Katamadze, managers of “Tana” and the daycare center, respectively, thanked the attendees for their heartwarming acceptance and solidarity.
By the end of the exhibition, legislative authority representatives gave the participating children gifts and sweets.
