Importance of Organizational Management in Public Sector

Organizational Management represents the sphere which theoretical and practical knowledge is equally important for all type managers. The above mentioned includes a number of interrelated issues which leads to effectiveness and success of the organizational performance. Manager and his / her team ensure proper management through fulfilling their duties and always strive to achievement of the set goals.

Due to organizational work specifications, the forms and the approach of the management differs from one another. Accordingly the managers employed in both: private and public sectors are requested to have acquired relevant knowledge and practical skills. The management of the public entities is related to the basics of the general administrative law and provision of the municipal service, as well as the major principles of the management.

Thorough knowledge of legal acts regulating local self-government and practical cases of the proper management enables those, holding leading positions in the public sector successfully fulfill their duties and provide public management in the regions.

Despite that the necessity of training and strengthening the professional skills among middle class managers in the public sector still exists. Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration responds training request and increasing demand and prepares specialized training course ‘Management of Public Entities’ for interested individuals.

As Ruben Paliani, one of the alumni of the above mentioned training program and Head of the Civil Registry Service Office in Akhalkalaki, Public Services Development Agency, states: ‘After completion of the training course I had clear vision of the state entities’ functioning, got better understanding of the notion of the public management, effective management and staff duties, which greatly helps me in my every-day professional relations.’

Training program ‘Management of Public Entities’ have been implemented successfully for three years and the total number of its alumni reaches 170 individuals.

During the training course the modern approach in management as well as the practical issues, which are frequently applied by the managers in their everyday business relations, is taught. In addition to the theoretical knowledge the participants are able to acquire the best practices of the management, the legislative database in public management and administration, which makes the training course more informative and interesting.

Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration takes into consideration the participants’ interest and plans to implement the training program ‘Management of Public Entities’ in future as well, which will lead to training new flow of managers in the public sector for ensuring better public management.
