Putting state procurement process into common electronic space and a number of legal acts in the mentioned sphere led to increasing the interest from both: purchasers and suppliers.

Accordingly the necessity for training occurred for completing the state procurement procedures in compliance with the legal requirements and prescribed terms, such as: public service receives high quality and relevant service / products, while the supplier gets respective remuneration for provided service / goods, which finally is oriented on proper functioning and supporting the public service.

Taking into consideration the current training request and focusing on the participants interests represent one of the major priorities in the work of Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration.

The specialized training course on state procurement was prepared for public servants, which includes sharing theoretical knowledge along with the best practices. All above mentioned contributes to better understanding of the training materials for participants and easing the successful fulfillment of state procurement stages.

The number of the mentioned training participants increases annually, in particular: while the number of them reached 25 participants in 2014, in total 51 public servants successfully completed the training course on state procurement in 2015, and the training program is fully funded by the state.

‘As for me, the procurement specialist, it was extremely important to complete the one-month training course on state procurement organized by the School, which granted me huge experience through theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, in particular, completing the procurement planning stages. This played a decisive role in my future work which is proved by decreasing the number of ‘not fulfilled’ status in procurement process,’ – states Avtandil Razmadze, who successfully passed the certification exam after completing the training course and moved from the position of the leading specialist at the legal service to the main specialist at the procurement service in the Dusheti Municipality.

The training course on state procurement is foreseen for both: public servants who are already involved in the state procurement process, as well as those who plan to work in the mentioned sphere in future.

LEPL Zurab Zhvania State Administration School was established in 2005. Since 2014 the School is operational with the renewed training programs.
